So, you bought a CBD 1000mg tincture, followed all the directions and felt nothing. What the heck! If you buy CBD oil there must be a reason, right? I keep running across more and more stories about people reporting that the CBD gummies they took didn’t do anything for them. It’s a little exasperating to try and explain this all over again...but here it goes.
While unflavored hemp oil containing CBD does in fact come from hemp, which is part of the cannabis family, it is not the cannabis recreational users have been smoking for generations to get high. There are over 100 cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of those cannabinoids, and so is tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). While both cannabinoids come from similar plants, they are in fact very different from one another.
One particular disgruntled person that tried some CBD for sale, wrote into the popular publisher WestWorld to vent their frustrations over feeling nothing after taking a CBD dosage. They claimed not to feel “jack” after using it. This was the unsubtle response from Westworld:
Maybe because you didn't read jack. Other than a potential difference in energy, the sign of CBD doing its thing is more about what you don't feel….Most people who use CBD simply use it to feel “normal” again, at least for brief moments of time. Remember, ya dingus: CBD is non-intoxicating, meaning you're not supposed to get high from it (though some of these shady-ass CBD products might have THC or lord knows what else in them — but I digress). If you're not feeling desired relief after a CBD gummy or coffee, maybe the 5 milligrams you paid $8 for just wasn't enough.
They make a good point about the CBD dosage the person may have taken. Everyone is different, so while a 25mg dose of CBD may help some people, others may need more like a 300mg dose of CBD to try and find some relief. If the person writing into the publisher has been smoking cannabis recreationally and simply saw that CBD is now legal and comes from cannabis as well, then they did need to keep reading. CBD doesn’t get anyone high.
