Across Florida, massage parlors have begun to offer a CBD massage where customers can take home the leftover topical.

Thinking About a CBD Massage?

I can't get over just how widespread CBD products have become. I see them in grocery stores, gyms, dog groomers and now I hear that massage parlors are offering a CBD massage as one of the alternatives for patrons. It seems like yesterday when hemp and all of its derivatives were still illegal.

The CBD for sale that I have found can vary wildly in price. I have seen some CBD lotions out there going for over $100. I am not talking about some big bottle of lotion with a squirt top. I am talking about a small cup size of lotion with about a CBD 500mg to CBD 1000mg content. That seems pretty pricey for a single CBD product.

All the same, people are loving the CBD edibles, vapes, oils and topicals. They have been listening to people rave about what CBD can do. There are celebrity endorsements and new research pops up regularly on the news wires. If you were a dog groomer or a massage parlor, why would't you add a legal substance to your menu that customers may be interested in?

Kyle Nevius, a chiropractor physician in Naples and former president of the Florida Chiropractic Association, said the interest for CBD massages has been “overwhelming." Yet, customers should be vigilant: He said CBD "should be administered by health providers who can give advice, based on their health issues and prescriptions they may be taking.

The state of Florida has these CBD massage parlors all over the place now. They can be found from Miami, to the west coast near Naples, all the way up to Orlando. Prices vary from an additional $15, on top of the typical massage price, to an additional $100. But, people should be careful. Not just because it is Florida, but because they should know who makes these CBD products being offered at the parlors.

Some CBD companies have been guilty of not testing their products with a third party lab to confirm the CBD concentration. Others have just falsified their labels knowing that strict regulations have yet to be put down. Mostly, any health claims pertaining to CBD products must be taken lightly. Make sure you are not getting pulled into a high priced massage for something that CBD topicals are not even capable of.

While research is showing some promise, CBD is a new product being offered to the public that the majority of people are just not that familiar with. The FDA is still trying to understand and determine rules for appropriate marketing and its sale. In the meantime, continue to be diligent concerning research and finding the best products on the market.
