New Year’s Resolutions
Here at Sugar and Kush we are all about living a better enhanced life and there is no better time to talk about it than New Year’s! This isn’t just any New Year’s either. We are entering an entirely new decade and if it is anything like the roaring 1920’s, then we have a lot to look forward to. Let’s go over some of the top New Year’s resolutions.
One thing we are all feeling is how quickly technology is developing right before us. It’s pressure. The time of the biggest, strongest and fastest athlete being the best is coming to an end. A powerful and fast brain has never had more value and we all know that will only become more true as time goes on. Whether it's understanding a new coding language, finding more automation tools or just trying to have some semblance of an idea on how the tech in your hands works, it's all on our minds.
However, for many people it's just getting back to school. It’s finishing their BA or their BS. It’s getting a Master’s degree or a PhD. It’s passing some tests to move up in their company. It’s philosophy and finding more perspective. For many people in 2020, simply putting more effort into their education is a top resolution.
There may be nothing more fulfilling than your family. During the Holidays we all enjoy the company of family. Perhaps in 2020 it’s time to re-appreciate your parents or your grandparents. They are getting up there in age and it’s easy to put them on the backburner with all that is going on in your life. Perhaps, it’s about your wife or your husband. Perhaps it is about your children.
As time goes on we can lose sight of what matters most in life. Our ambitions to succeed at work or fulfill some lifelong goal often takes precedence over quality family time. Beyond birthdays and holidays like Valentine’s, we need to go to our kids’ sporting events, we need to spend time with our significant others and remember that when this all started, we were friends first.
Of course, there is exercise and focusing more on our health for the New Year. Whether you are a weightlifter, yogi, martial artist, jogger or cross fit trainer, you are likely focusing on making some personal bests for 2020.
