You should eat lots of CBD cookies on National CBD Day, August 8th.

Is There Really a National CBD Day?

Yes, there really is a National CBD Day. It will happen every year on August 8th. It’s a day where people can indulge in CBD oil, CBD gummies, cbd cookies for sale, CBD brownies and ...well just about anything that has CBD in it. Something people across the country can do any day of the week. What exactly is the point of having a National CBD Day? To understand that, we need to go back a little in time.

There has been a massive amount of progress worldwide, in terms of perspective and legislation, on the medical and recreational uses of cannabis. The plant has been revered for millennia, thanks to its generally positive psychoactive effects on mood caused by tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC. There has been evidence going back as far as 2500 years ago, whereby indicators of its consumption were present in artifacts and buried bodies deep in the mountainous regions of Western China.

The endocannabinoid system helps regulate many conditions and CBD cookies are infused with the phytocannabinoid that interacts with the ECS.

Fast forward to the 18th and 19th centuries, and many countries began criminalizing the use of the plant, regardless of whether it was used for hemp or consumption. This wave of the legislature was based on racial terms, with many consumers being heavily affected by the new laws. Thankfully times have changed, and with it, has brought about more innovations and discoveries of the cannabis plant, including CBD.

Cannabidiol, abbreviated as CBD, is a non-psychoactive phytocannabinoid that was first discovered in 1940. This part of the plant is thought to trigger a response in the endocannabinoid system in our bodies, which is responsible for regulating sleep, immunology and the perception of pain. Whilst there is no conclusive proof from research on its efficacy, CBD has quite the amount of positive press. Though, we are still in the infancy stages of research on the cannabinoid.

CBD research is still in its infancy.

As an important part of the cannabis plant, it only makes sense that someone decided to create a National day around CBD. Cannabis enthusiasts have for a long time celebrated the number 420 and its respective April 20th date. Having a completely non-psychoactive day to celebrate eating a batch of CBD cookies or dripping a dropper full of oil from a CBD 500mg bottle under the tongue is in line with how people celebrate the plant in general. Thanks to the improved perception of the cannabis plant, consumers have grown fond of the chemical and have been more vocal about encouraging research into its benefits. National CBD Day is now an official holiday.

If you are interested in creating a national day, you need to contact the National Day Calendar committee. When someone proposed making a National CBD Day, the National Day Calendar committee agreed to officially vote in the holiday. The motion was approved, namely due to the sweeping adoption and inquiry into the potential benefits of CBD, and adds yet another celebratory occasion to the calendar for medical and recreational consumers of the cannabis plant nationwide.
