Does CBD Help with Intimacy?

Tripping our parasympathetic nervous system into action may be one of the keys to getting well rested. It’s more about achieving a relaxed state where the body switches into a mode of conserving energy, slows our heart rate and increases gland activity that gets us to that natural state where sleep is never far away. It’s the exact state we want our bodies and minds in if we want to drift off into that vital REM that can rejuvenate us for our next day. Following that line of thinking, we should also consider what else we can accomplish when we are in that parasympathetic mode.
The parasympathetic nervous system is a division of the autonomic nervous system, a system that works without our conscious thought, regulating things like blood pressure, breathing and sexual responses. It works autonomously from the rest of the nervous system and basically moves between 2 phases, the sympathetic and parasympathetic. The sympathetic system is in action when we feel like we may be in danger. It is the fight or flight mode, which obviously is not very helpful when we want to fall asleep or make love. The parasympathetic system is what we need when we are ready to relax or have a sexual encounter.
Imagine indulging in some cooking with cbd oil with your partner while watching a romantic movie on Netflix in bed. Perhaps 30 minutes to an hour later, tensions from a stressful day of work or kids that just won’t cooperate with bedtime preparations like teeth brushing, finally wash away. It’s a perfect opportunity for a moment of intimacy.
