We are looking for solutions to the nagging and painful flare ups. Perhaps CBD for inflammation or CBD for PMS is what we all have been waiting for.

Chronic Pain and Inflammation

Chronic pain is something we hear about a lot when talking about health and wellness. All of us can experience a number of chronic pain conditions including tension headaches, back pain, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, and many other musculoskeletal and neuropathic pain conditions. Some chronic pain issues are unique to men and others to women, and we don’t have a good scientific reason as to why there’s a difference, but there are likely multiple factors to consider. Factors contributing to the difference could include biological, psychological, social and possibly cultural differences.

The Future of CBD

If chronic pain is the problem, then what is the solution? For many the solution revolves around prescription drugs, specifically opioids and benzodiazepines. If these medications work for you, great, go with what works! But for many of us, these drugs don’t work for one reason or another. For some, the drugs make them feel absent, almost as if they are in a constant fog. For others they become extremely dependent and addicted to the prescription drugs. You can’t go a day without hearing about the plague of opioid addiction across the country. So now we have a situation where we have a solution for chronic pain, but the solution is just as bad as the actual problem.

The Realities

If nagging itching and bodily aches keep you up at night then a hemp tincture could help. What may be of the most significance is the possibly of removing prescription drugs from the equation for some people. Many of the illnesses associated with chronic pain are caused by inflammation in the body. While the medical and science and community are working on additional studies, many people have opted for the more natural routes.

Having tried benzodiazepines in the past for my anxiety, I can tell you first hand that I did not like how these drugs made me feel. Fortunately I did not have issues with addiction, but I decided there had to be another way. For anyone struggling with chronic pain, maybe it's worth adding a natural alternative into the mix and see if it works for you.
